Retratos de viaje It is a series of chronicles and photographs where people are the center. The project seeks to document human stories in their cultural and geographical context, combining personal narrative and author photography.

Encounters that leave a mark

Each portrait is born from an encounter: family, strangers, loves and friendships that appeared along the way. Stories that were worth stopping to listen to, faces that left a mark and that, in some way, also transformed me.

The trip is often remembered for the places, but in reality what remains are the people. An unexpected conversation, a shared look or a moment that reveals something profound about the daily life of a place.

In Retratos de viaje, each story tries to capture that moment.

Writing and image

This is a hybrid space where the writing and photography dialogue. In each chronicle, the story of a person is intertwined with their city, their culture and their time.

It doesn't matter if they are well-known figures or ordinary people. What matters is what they reveal about humanity: gestures, memories, links and small scenes that show the identity of a place through those who inhabit it.

Shared footprints

Through words and images, I seek to stop at what is essential: voices, moments and encounters that make the trip something more than movement.

These portraits speak both about those who appear in them and about the experience of those who observe them. They are stories that are born from the crossing between two worlds: that of the traveler and that of those who are part of that territory. Stories that are are shared footprints.
In each look, a reflection; in each word, a map.

Because in the end, the world is best discovered through the people who inhabit it.
